About Us

Bike.Build.Home 500 was organized in 2023 to continue the fine traditions of the Habitat 500 bike ride, which was previously coordinated by Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota.  In its 30-year history, bike riders raised over $7 million to build affordable homes.  The Bike.Build.Home 500 steering committee includes past Habitat 500 riders, volunteers, and committee members. Bike.Build.Home hopes to mobilize the nearly-all-volunteer spirit of the original Habitat 500, updating it with what we learned from Habitat Minnesota.

The BBH500 Steering Committee Committee meets regularly via Zoom, so anyone can be a part of this important process from the comfort of your own home or office. Any and all assistance is appreciated! The 2025 Local Host Planning Committee meets monthly via Microsoft Teams.
